Hard Rock Hotel Chicago

Across from downtown's Millennium Park, this rock-themed hotel occupies the richly restored Carbide and Carbon Building, a 1929 Art Deco beauty built by Daniel and Hubert Burnham (sons of the great Chicago architect Daniel Burnham).

The hotel blends eye-catching, contemporary decor with original Art Deco details, including brass elevator doors on the main floor. The gift shop sells a wide array of Hard Rock mementos, including T-shirts, denim jackets, and stuffed animals.

Guests dine on Pan-Asian cuisine in the acclaimed China Grill, or gather in the popular Base Bar for creative cocktails and finger food. In-room dining is available 24 hours a day.

Decor includes zebrawood dressers, “mock-croc” chairs, and etched-metal pictures of rock legends such as the Beatles and Rolling Stones.

Entertainment centers house 27-inch flat-screen TVs, DVD players, and five-disc CD players. Conveniences include complimentary high-speed Internet access, two multi-line phones (one cordless), minibars, and coffee/tea makers.

Complimentary copies of Rolling Stone and Time Out Chicago are in each guestroom, and a complimentary newspaper is delivered daily. Turndown service is provided on request.
